I won Bruce Bethke's contest again. Inside, I'm "squeeing" like a twelve year old who just found out the Jonas Brothers (whoever they are) are coming to her birthday. Two people from the forum, including Bruce, asked why I'm not published yet. So, my question is, how do you get published?
I'm thinking magazines. I have no agent and nothing previously published, so that's where you go, right? But which magazine? Are on-line mags OK, or not respectable? Does having the stories on my blog make them already "published"? Should I just go for broke--submit to Analog and Asimov and Fantasy & Science Fiction?
Yeah, I suppose I know the answer. I just have to do it.

I'm not sure myself (not published yet and waiting until my kids are older before pursuing that whole world), but I'll be cheering you on... go! go! go!

Well, we have a publisher right here on the forum that might just have some tips in his selection of 95 ideas. Also, you should check out the site www.lostgenreguild.com It is a similar site with a Christian writing community and a lot of the same people on it. They have an extensive set of marketing tips from people who have been published (unlike me.) Scincerely, Scintor@aol.com

You don't need an agent to get published in a magazine, torainfor.
Congratulations, by the way!
To get published in a magazine you simply query the magazine you're interested in. Note that there are very few Christian magazines that feature short fiction.
Feel free to drop me a note personally as well.
