I'm sorry, chess pie? What's that? Does it have anything to do with the board game?

Old thread, new recipe...
I was just introduced to this amazing recipe! ;D It's SOOO good! But be warned, it's big enough to share!
This is very dangerous...chocolate cake any time of the day.
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour 4 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (Hershey's Special Dark cocoa powder makes the cake!!) 1/4 tsp salt 1 egg 3 tablespoons milk 3 tablespoons oil...or try real butter for more deliciousness! 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) a small splash of vanilla extract 1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Melt butter, add milk and then whisk in the egg mix thoroughly. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts, (high). (If you have a new micro-wave oven (1200 watts) you won't want to cook this mug of cake any longer than 2 minutes.) The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!

I'm with Morwena--I like a little cake with my frosting--especially my homemade cream cheese frosting. Sometimes I don't even need the cake, just a spoon, which my husband finds disgusting. I do make a fabulous carrot cake, though (alright, I can't take credit for it--it's in the Colorado Cache cookbook under picnics and camping...) Just one thing--it says to flour the pan but I sugar it instead. Just spray the pan with Pam, and dust it with sugar around the sides and bottom--(unless you're diabetic, of course.)

I love peanut butter, but had to give it up due to my son's allergy. Last time we ate peanut butter pie, he had to get an epi pen shot and he didn't eat any. I love my son more, so no peanut butter, not even a Reece's Eggs this year. *sigh*
I love this fudge cake like my mom makes, but I use mix for the cake. Make a yellow cake from mix, then go to the food network and look up Paula Dean's old style fudge recipe. Punch holes in the cooled cake. Then make the fudge, but stop cooking it before it is thick enough to set. It stays syrup. Pour over cake and let it run into holes. Great warm.

Key lime pie...unless it's the second Tuesday of an even numbered month in which case it's dump cake (cherry or pumpkin is just fine). However the first Monday following a odd Tuesday in all months ending in "y" I really must have fruit pizza. Of course for all other days anything with dark chocolate and lots of it will do, especially mixed with mint or peanut butter.

Duchess- What size of 'large coffee mug'? What volume? Don't want it to go horribly wrong!

Yeah, my mom shared with me that coffee mug cake one time. It's a little bit more spongy than regular cake in my opinion, but my three year old son ate it up like there was no tomorrow, and kids usually know what's good and what isn't. I'll have to try it sometime on my own and see what happens.
