Ugh, I have a really bad case of it. I haven't written anything for two months. And just randomly sitting down and writing anything that comes to mind doesn't seem to be helping. Any ideas on getting out of it? I get inspired to write and I have scenes that come to me, it's just sitting down to write them is a problem.

Hey, VS! I wish I had an easy answer for you. I've had long spans of time when nothing would come...and I put off my manuscript for nearly a year. I understand your difficulty! I heard something yesterday that might help if you are stuck in a particular scene: Try writing the scene from other characters' perspectives. There are a number of books out there, too - writing exercises and such. If you'd like to try a few writing exercises, I could direct you to the websites and such I've checked out. Maybe even praying about this would get you back on track. Hope ideas rain down on you soon!! ;D

VS maybe try writing something that has nothing to do with your current WIP, a collaborative somewhere. or maybe a short story set in your world with some minor character maybe set after the end of your main plot line. The point is just write something, it doesn't even have to be good you could crumble it up and toss it afterwards but just getting something written can help.
