Hey, all! Knowing that there are a GREAT many heavier issues to be praying for, I have a light-hearted request. I have been working with our local high school's drama club and tonight (Friday), we are opening Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. While the kids are doing a super job, it's a pretty substantial show with lots of technical details. We run tonight, Saturday, and Sunday. Please pray that everything falls into place and that our community will be presented with entertainment like they have not yet encountered! Pray that the kids will remember their lines and songs and set changes. This is one of my very favorite shows and I would love to see it all go smoothly for them!! Thanks a lot!! ~Ashley

Well, we survived round one of the show. Things mostly went okay, although we had a few hairy spots. We have 2 more performances - tomorrow night and Sunday matinee. Thanks for thinking of us! ;D

Thanks for asking! I forgot to give an update. The performances were great! Our small town loved it. They haven't seen anything like this and they were impressed. Our last day, the director honored the seniors and everyone was emotional. But it was a great experience! ;D This marks the 4th time I've done this show in some capacity. Such a great show!! I highly recommend the DVD version with Bernadette Peters. If you like fairy tales, you'll enjoy Into the Woods.

Bernadette Peters is always a good idea. It broke my heart when Madeline Kahn died. I always wanted her to do something with Bernadette and Carol Kane.

That would have been a hoot! At an event I did at Disneyland, I got to stand just a few feet from Bernadette and tell her to put her microphone on. She's SO tiny!!
