Alas, no publication, yet, but thanks for the encouragement. In other news, I stayed up way too late last night creating a website. Very bare-bones, but you can find chapters from other novels as well as a smattering of short stories and comics. Find it all here: sites.google.com/site/kersleyfitzgerald/home

Aye, mk, foul indeed. *sigh* Quite like the website. It's interesting. Gives the sense of your worlds. Torainfor, every once in awhile I blog a Monday Muse. I'm going to review Asimov's Levy for this coming Monday.

Ooh, Elvetica.Oddly, I had no problem reading it to the end. I even got over the irritation of feeling like I was missing out due to the Latin. But we're talking about someone who's doing a readaloud of Lord of the Rings, complete with voices, Bombadil's songs, and all, to her children.
I'm noticing MLP is to some extent characterized by exceptionally *smart* fiction. There's lots of good craft out there, but it's hit-and-miss whether it'll be emotional, intellectual or spiritual engagement, or some combination thereof. What I've appreciated about MLP authors to date is the brains used in the execution.
Okay, that sounded like a shootout gone gorily wrong. Not at all what I mean. Anyhoo....

I submitted Veil, perhaps impatiently, to another very small publishing house. The sequel is all but finished, and round three is continually percolating in my noggin. Here's more praying for God's will.
In other news...IRL, I'm fairly quiet. Not as bad as I used to be, and not bad if I'm with friends. And caffeinated. But I'm not a salesman, and that really worries me the more I hear about how authors need to be their own marketers. I don't know why it took me so long, but the other night, I realized that maybe I don't have to be. I have a really good friend whose spiritual gift is networking. (Yes, I know that's not a technical spiritual gift, but she's that good.) If you've ever heard of Awakening Records, she used to do a lot of work for them--mostly free. I emailed her, and she said something to the effect of, "Well, all I do is call someone who knows someone who knows someone. And I've never met a stranger. What's the big deal?"
Yeah. So this is a "Thanks, God!" And a wonderful reminder of what the church is all about.
