Sounds like almost like a JK Rowling book doesn't it? Unfortunately, there are no seven swords... that I know of. But it is time that I posted an update here. So! Here we go. First off: let me remind you all that my website is updated each and every week. Well, most weeks. Click here to check it out. You can also sign up for my weekly e-mail, also posted to the site, by simply sending me a PM or e-mail. You can also sign up for my RSS feed. Reminders aside, my overall status is good. I'm due to go on leave in a few weeks, so I am excited. Very, very excited. After all, I get to see my wonderful, beautiful wife. I an't wait for that day! Also, I go before the promotion board on the 29th of April. Think of it as a panel interview, but worse. I am NOT looking forward to the experience what so ever. Since I want to make Sergeant, and the pay that goes with it, I have to do it. On the home front, things have heated up some. Jamie is now the Family Readiness Group leader for my Battery(or company). The FRG is there to assist families during deployments and build over all unit cohesion. It's a BIG step and a hard job. Some of the spouses she, literally, has to baby sit. Others she doesn't hear from at all. Some, a precious few, are willing to help. Few means one or two, btw. For the little nitty gritty bits, feel free to visit my site. I'll update more often as well until I go on leave... at which point I will disappear. I have other things to worry about then. God bless you all, and continue to keep me in your prayers. -- CS

Great to hear that you'll be seeing your sweet bride soon! Oh, boy, watch out. Fun times, baby.
And I love the "angel gets a pimple thing." Inspired!
Be safe, Glyn.

We'll be praying for the review panel....just keep in mind God knows what you need and when you need it, so leave the results (and the worrying) to Him. Blessings!

Thanks, everyone! The board will be scary, but I know that I am ready. I just have to trust in Him. As for reunion... you have no idea. That is what keeps me going day in and day out. I know that she is waiting for me to come home, and she is as excited about it as I am. More so, assuming that is possible.

The results are in: I passed! Phew. Am I glad that is over or what. I was more nervous than a cat at a dog show, believe me. Thanks to God's wonderful hand, I am now on the road to the next rank. Too bad it's so long and winding.

Erm... no. Promotion isn't that easy. Now I have to work my way through the promotion point system. Right now, I have 425 promotion points. Last month, the points for my MOS were at 798. The maximum possible is 800. Yeah, I still have some work ahead of me. I can do correspondence courses to get more, and I will be. Oh, how I will be.
