For those of you out there who are Battlestar Galactica fans - I just watched "Caprica" on DVD - a pre-release pilot, of sorts. The series is scheduled to air on Sci-Fi Channel in 2010. The show is intriguing, but I wanted to warn potential viewers that it is not rated, and while there is not a lot of objectionable language, there are quite a few...um... explicit scenes. 'Twas a bit of a surprise. Thought you might like a heads-up.

Thanks for the warning. Yikes.
The SF Channel's Battlestar Galactica, which I loved, was definitely edging that direction. I'm not surprised.
Maybe there was a significant portion of the BG audience that really liked that component of the series, and they're trying to give that group more of of what they want.

Presumably these prequel are aimed at MTV youth and young adults. The reboot of Trek is rated for young adolescents, but that doesn't prevent the vulgar erotica.
**WARNING Spoiler**
It would appear that rather than Kirk being the libidinous one, this time it's Spock...with Uhura. Yuk. It's Trek, Jim, but not as we know it.

That isn't logical. But alas, I was against ST:TNG when it first came out. I was a die-hard classic Trekkie. Perhaps somehow, this one will redeem itself... We can hope?

*Sigh* We can always hope. Even when it is illogical.
