Designing a spaceship for your sci-fi adventure? Check out STARSHIP DIMENSIONS below for comparisons with other published ships. It RAWKS! (I'll post a sketch of mine as soon as I find a scanner). www.merzo.net/index.html

I've seen that site before. My ships are generally always the size they need to be. I'll map out the rooms, corridors, hangars, storage, and the like with all the furniture.

Cool link! Many thanks for those of us who are spatially challenged.

When I was a student, the university paper misquoted a geography professor talking about spatial analysis as though he'd said "special analysis." Hats off to the press!
Spokane, do you freehand your ships or use a tool of some sort?

Spokane, do you freehand your ships or use a tool of some sort? I usually try to sketch out basic layouts by hand, but I like to use Campaign Cartographer with the Cosmographer add-on for doing layouts.

I sketch mine for the most part. Although, sometimes I end up with bland two D pieces with some of the odder shapes.

I sketch by hand, too. If I really like how it turns out, I start detailing with colored pencils, watercolor, or Chinese ink.
