There is a serial killer in my area. He's killing people along a highway that is about 6 miles from my house. He's killed 5 people.
Please pray for the families who've lost people. My mom knew one of the people killed. It's a small town just down from my home town.
Thanks, Missy

My husband works 55 hours a week. I know statistically I have little to worry about, but still, protecting my 3 kids is on my shoulders every night. My husband leaves for work in the early evening and works until the next morning
Please also pray for me not to live afraid and for our safety.

"Rescue me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent men who devise evil thinkgs in their hearts; they continually stir up wars. They sharpen their tongues as a serpent; poison of a viper is under their lips.
Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; presernve me from the violent men who have purposed to trip up my feet. The proud have hidden a trap for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set snares for me.
I said to the Lord, 'You are my God; give ear, O Lord, to the voice of my supplications. O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. Do not grant, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not promote his evil device, that they may not be exalted.
As for the head of those who surround me, may the mischief of their lips cover them. May burning coals fall upon them; may they be cast into the fire, into deep pits from which they cannot rise. May a slanderer not be established on the earth; may evil hunt the violent man speedily.'
I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted and justice for the poor. Surely the righteous will give thanks to Your name; the upright will dwell in Your presence."
----Psalm 140
My own prayer: May the Lord of Hosts set his armies about you and form a hedge of protection for you and your family. May He grant you peace of mind and May His Holy Spirit speak to your heart and provide you comfort. May God bless you. May God curse this evildoer. May our Great God quickly bring the sword of justice down upon this minion of evil, this serpent who destroys lives and families. It is in that most powerful name, the name of Christ Jesus our Lord, that I pray. Amen.

Glad to know that's finally over with. I used to live in Simpsonville with my mom when I was little and my dad stayed in Gaffney one time for a while there, so I have memories of the area even if I never knew my way around. When I heard about this on the news I just thought: This could happen anywhere. We need to pray even more for our nation.

Even so, I am sad that the man was killed because that means he won't have any more time to make a decision for Christ.

A noble sentiment, but he had his chances. Now he won't be taking that same time to make a decision away from other people.

They've released more details.
He had a 25 page record that extended through about 5 states. The police responded to a possible burglary and found him and two people in an abandoned house. They asked for ID, found he was wanted on a parole violation. He pulled a gun and fired on an officer, shooting him in the leg. That is when other officers fired on him.
He had a choice all along and chose wrong till the end.
