I wasn't quite sure where to post this: either here or in Prayer, so I decided to do so here. I've been thinking about my writing a lot, and praying and trying to find God's will for my life, and every time, I keep coming full circle back to writing. Writing is as much as part of me as eating or drinking is, and several people have told me (not sure how true it is) that I have somewhat of a knack for putting deep, truthful emotion into my writing. Again, that's just the comments I've had and of course they're a bit biased. I love stories that show both the good and bad of humanity and the redemption of God's grace. I'm getting off topic here, but my question is, do you think God has a plan for my writing? I'm a bit afraid to write and put it out for the world to see, even though it often shares some insight that I've been shown.

Psalm 37:4 --"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. "
I believe that if your will is submitted to God, then you can be assured that the desire you have for writing is from him. How does he want you to use it? Don't know. But the desire is there for a reason. Nurture it, practice it--even when it's hard--and see what happens.

Veritass,
Your job is to write....it's up to God to open hearts to receive it. Use your gift and leave the results to the Lord.
