Well . . . won't know about the interview I had yesterday until first of the week (yeah, I know, that's what they all say) but I heard from one of my two other interviews; they said "no". Still waiting on the one from UTA. I hate waiting; I have no patience for this. I want to scream "Just hire me already!!!!!" But I can't do that; well except here since I just did, but you know what I mean.
Thanks for all the support and the prayers. I think this forum has become the one sane (don't laugh) place I can come since I've been unemployed. You guys are really helping me make sure I don't completely lose my mind by giving me a place to come and make my brain work. Thanks again for being here.

You're very welcome, Robi, and thank you for the update! Hopefully this job is the one that God wants you to have and this ordeal can end for you.

And here's a tale with a happy ending....
In February I asked for prayers for Mary Pennington, who unjustly lost her job. I am happy to report our prayers have been answered. Mary has a new job which, as it happens, pays more than the one taken from her.
God is good.

Yea!!! I'm happy for her.
I, however, have not been blessed so far. I don't know what God is waiting for, I guess the job He wants me to have isn't open yet, so I'm still just searching until He shows me what I'm supposed to do. Meanwhile, as long as He's willing to pay the bills, I'm willing to simply apply and wait. Prayers are still coveted, though, as my patience is being tested to its very (short) limits.

Ah, but patience tested is patience lengthened, so rejoice!
After smacking me upside the head, that is.
Seriously, though, I am praying for you.

I've recently been let go. I have a temp job over the weekends, but still need something permanent. My wife and I are considering moving to the Colorado Springs area (ostensibly more opportunity than here in Flagstaff), but are not quite sure how we will go about it. Our lease comes to a terminus at the end of June, so we need to decide pretty quickly what we're going to do.
On top of that, my Grandfather just died, and my inability to go visit him while he was still alive started an unfortunate avalanche of family friction which I don't think is going to heal anytime soon. It's been a pressure cooker lately.
Prayers definitely appreciated.

The economy is crunching all over. Thomas Nelson, a big-3 Christian publisher, just announced a new round of layoffs. My friend in Colorado Springs was part of a round of layoffs at EDS. Everyone's feeling the squeeze.
I do agree that a larger city will have more job possibilities than a smaller one, but there are also many more people vying for those possibilities. Still, we'd love to have you in Colorado Springs! You might check online for cost of living comparisons. You might be better off where you are. Certain rural areas in Texas have the lowest housing prices I've heard of anywhere in the U.S., so consider that, too.
Robi, anything new for you on your job search?
Jeff

Lots of interviews, no offers. I have another one today, and one tomorrow. But God has been providing in the most amazing ways. It has been a wonder to watch how every month He provides what we need, just in time, to make that mortgage payment or electric bill or whatever. I'm stressed, but not like I have been in the past. When Paul said "And my God will provide all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" [Phil 4:19], well, we're living it right now. He has definitely supplied all our needs. To all who are in this position; TRUST GOD. He keeps His Word and cares for His children. I'm living proof.
Thanks for asking Jeff, it gives me a chance to brag on the greatest Father ever.

As I said, we have the greatest Father! (as she dances around the kitchen, up the stairs, down the street, all over) I have a job, I have a job!! (singing)
I start Wednesday; pays $1/hour more than my last job; I get to wear jeans!! I'm so happy!!! ;D
Thanks to everyone for their prayers and other support.
