My friend Kristy just bought her first Bible. She is this sweet Asian woman who became a Christian a couple of years ago. She keeps it a secret from her husband for fear he will divorce her.
Anyway, she's having trouble understanding. She has no background in the Bible at all. Adam and Eve, the birth of Christ, it's all new to her. Pray God will give her understanding and will soften her husband's heart. He is a very hard and angry man.
If anyone knows a great Bible study for a true beginner, let me know.
Thanks, Missy

Typically, My old pastor recommended reading Luke then Acts for a good grounding. Prayers are away, Missy. Oddly enough, my character just prayer for the same thing.

Jesus begins and ends our faith, so I don't know if any Christian, new or old, can seek him enough. Bible studies that go through his life, work, mission, and deity will often refer back to the Old Testament prophecies enough to get a new Christian curious and gives a good point of reference. www.jesuswalk.com may also have some valuable resources....
