I like it. I like it a lot! How does Sally Stuart find out about this?

Maybe someone here should get the ball rolling and write the first story? *hint hint*

This sounds like a lot of fun guys! I've already sent a story your way. I hope you get a lot of good ones.

By limited readership, would you accept a story whose first draft was posted on a blog read by about 15 people, tops?

Yep. Although, that rule may change in time, but something that either 1) no one read or b) very, very few have read we're fine with.
*edit* However, take it down once you submit it, please.

CS Ill be hopefully starting work on the map tonight. Ive been thinking about purchasing some mapping software, and this project seems as good enough time as any to do so. So ill be branching out from my usual paint mapping to using a mapping program witch will hopefully give it good look to it. The deciding factor for me was when i realized that i have lack of talent for drawing mountains on Paint.

You know, one of the things that inspires people to write in a universe is a good series of canon stories already set in place that establish things rather well. As I was reading over the page about The Triangle Universe, I was struck by how I know nothing about what is being said. I have no feelings one way or another about the characters and I may write them one way and another can come along and write them another way and yet both still match the descriptions you laid out.
What I suggest is that for both universes, you and John establish a good canonical story - maybe one that has to be told in more than one segment - and that these would be published on there as previews of what to expect from the online magazine that you are doing, while also establishing for us the writers the canon that feeds our emotions about the project. Since you and John know the characters so well, then it should only be natural that you have some story ideas for them your own self. Why not set the bar, and set it high? That way, we can all get even more excited about playing in this new universe or two that you have created.
Does anyone else feel the same as I do?
In either case, I'll explore a story I want to do in The Triangle Universe and send it to you once finished. Don't be surprised if it's not what you think.

Frankly, I don't think either of us is very interested in publishing ourselves through AF. There is little point. I'm hoping that some enterprising authors would be willing to get the ball rolling, which is what it sounds like you'd like to do, David.
Nova, while I'd hate for you to spend money on this, it's up to you. We'd appreciate it greatly. I should be able to create a sort of menu out of it that will provide a more graphical way for users to select it.
I'm working on the site now, and will have some updates to that effect.

I wasn't thinking of it as an ongoing thing for you two, just as a way to establish canon from the beginning. If you and John don't want to do it, I suppose others will step up. I hope that a good order is established from the beginning and that we have stories that mesh well together in these universes, besides the more independent ones that will pop up that have nothing to do with the universes, but will be great in their own right.
Speaking of which, I finished a story last night and let Glyn look at it, he recommends editing it really good, but I'm a terrible self editor. I'll have to get Jeff's book I guess. Who would be interested in my e-mailing them a copy of my story to be edited. It's only just over six pages in Word. I'll take the first three who speak up. Thanks.

Site is done... for now. Version .0.2246a now has readable links and a contact page. It was... embarrassing how long it took to make happen, but it did. That means that I need a fresh batch of feed back.
Oh, and I'm still thinking about the suggestion of splitting the TTU pages for easier reading. Maybe I was just too tired when I went to do it, I don't know. I'll work on that more tonight.

Hmm, this looks interesting, CS. Did a quick browse. Nice storyworlds, very nice. Technically, I should be writing right now, but I find myself reading things again. See, you're effective.

Do you consider SFF fiction that is also experimental (such as in style or voice)? I looked around the site -- btw, very cool! -- but didn't see anything in the guidelines that made me think there was a definite yea or nay.

Just because it's experimental doesn't mean that we won't read it, providing that it would fit in with the e-Zine and meets our high standards.
