Hi guys. I first "found" Jeff online after reading the Firebrand novels (still a huge fan!) and talked to him a little bit through e-mails and I keep up on things via newsletters for MLP. I just got the letter for this site and thought that the whole contest idea sounds sooooo cool. I love reading stuff and giving my opinion and discussing books so this seems like something that will be really fun. I got burned on the last two forums that I joined, so I'm going to kind of hang out semi-anonymously until I feel a little more comfortable. Hoping that I can just have fun here, and can't wait to read some good weirdo stories

HI onmiway... Sorry to hear that you've had trouble with some of those "other forums" out there. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere here. Everyone has seemed very supportive, as well as engaged in intelligent discussions about Spec Fic and how to make it the best, most meaningful genre it can be.
Enjoy browsing, even if it is quietly.

onmiway, I have no idea what other forums you've been a part of, but I know what it's like to get burned out on them - even when they're "Christian" based. This is one of three forums I regularly frequent. I used to have another one, but I got "burned" out on it, so I just stay here and on the other two for now and dabble with a couple of others to test the waters.
All I can say is that if you're a Believer in Christ, a fan of speculative fiction and have an active imagination, then this is where you should be. I hope that you can eventually feel like you can take part in the discussions here a bit more and not have to stay so anonymous in the background. You're certainly more than welcome. Have fun!

Hi and welcome And like the others pointed out, this is a great place for lively, intelligent discussion about speculative with a christian worldview.

Greetings!
Always great to see a new face around here. You know, every time a new person joins the Anomaly, an angel gets a pimple. Yep. All the good ones, like gaining wings when bells sound, were taken, but we make do.
God Bless -- CS

CS, I'm sure you meant "gets a *dimple*."

onmiway, welcome, and enjoy the fact that the consequences of joining up are inflicted on CS's imaginary friends, not on us Anomaliens.
Unless you find yourself roped into being live statuary at the gnome party. Don't let them sucker you into that one--or helping cleaning the toilets on Swirly Thursdays.
It's a great place. Enjoy.
