One story I am working on (just profiling characters while I write others) has a swashbuckler. I can't come up with his full name.
He was born Leo [Greene], but has since dropped the [Greene] and goes by Leopold. I am open to changing the last name to another ancestry if that helps. But he needs more. Other pirates in the story world have names like "Mad Roger Black," "Jolly Willie," or "Bernie Brass." The first two are buccaneers and Bernie is a swashbuckler like Leopold. I was playing with things like "Leopold the Lionhearted" but I don't want to use "the" in his name. I've reserving that for another type of character in the story. This is humor/satire.
I need something either alliterative or with a good cadence. It could be foreign (Don Diego de la Vega) as long as it fits his ancestry (which is currently unspecified).
Any ideas, please?
Here is his background:
Hair: dark brown, short pony tail
Eyes: Sky Blue
Nose: Straight, attractive
Mouth: Round lips
Hands: gentle, strong
Body Type: in shape but not overly built
Striking Features: Eye scar that the ladies love (he can't resist them either)
He is a swashbuckler like Jack Sparrow, Inigo Montoya, Zorro, the Scarlet Pimpernel, Robin Hood, or the Three Musketeers. He has a flair for the dramatic and is proficient with the rapier and dodging (he can't take hits well as he never wears heavy armor). He has a quick rapier and a quicker wit. He makes quips in combat and doesn't even consistently follow the laws of physics when fighting. He prefers to fight one-on-one if possible. He is extremely lucky and has a danger sense.
His driving passion in life is to clear his father's name. His father was jailed for embezzlement (he didn't do it). He carries a pocket watch from his mentor. He is compassionate and has good social skills. Wears white shirt, puffy sleeves, lace at neck and wrist, and a three cornered hat. He has personality clashes with people who are too focused on their job to enjoy life.
