That's one of the things we're working on. We're not expecting this to happen overnight (definitely not!), and we know it's going to take a lot of work. There's 5 of us involved, and basically we're taking turns with each "volume". All of us have had to do some sort of re-writing to help a scene make more sense. I've even had to take one character's thoughts and make them a different character's thoughts to make a scene work. Right now, we're all working on the first drafts of each "volume", which at the moment is just getting the scenes together (which all of them, of course, are in, like, ten pieces), bringing each scene from 3-4 POVs to just one (which, let me tell you, isn't the easiest thing in the world o.O). This involves a lot of editing and some minor rewriting. Then we'll pass it on to someone else, and they'll go through and edit/rewrite, then pass it on to the next, and so on. Like I said, losta work, tedious, frustrating at times, but still loads of fun! (right KOH?...meh, he never gets on here anyways )

I hear you. My first novel, which is some 214,000 words long, was meticulously re-written from Third Person Omniscient (I wrote it some ten years ago, not really knowing that was a problem). Now each chapter features a single point of view. Tricky, and required some shuffling, but well worth it in the end. I've come to believe that having an extended single point of view is one of the best things I've done for character development yet.
It does sound like fun. Happy writing!
