Hi, Robi; I understand. No, you don't have to buy anything to be eligible to win. As they say on TV, "No purchase required."

The Christian Science Fiction & Fantasy Blogtour ( www.csffblogtour.com) has just featured Marcher Lord Press for its September tour. Be sure to go to the site and check out all the profiles, interviews, reviews, and comments made by the many participating bloggers. It's been a great way to let the target market know about MLP--and just days before its launch! Thanks to those of you who are members here and members of CSFF. Jeff

I'm so ginned up for the launch tonight. I can hardly stand it. I can't wait to finally get my hands on those books!

Jeff: I noticed that The Personifid Invasion is available on Amazon. They say it is in stock. Where do they get copies of the book?
Congrats, dad! It's a beautiful baby!

Congratulations, Jeff.
The MLP site looks great, and the shopping cart worked without a hitch.

I spread the word about MLP on a couple of blogs. At least one person passed it on to her circle, and another made a purchase. She was excited to find someplace to buy gifts for her son and had this to say:
"I sent a comment to Jeff and was pleasantly surprised by the rapid response. Hope this business does well."

Give me back the cotton gin, Spokane Flyboy. I had only borrowed it from Eli Whitney.

Didn't see this asked anywhere else, so I figured it would be a good location to ask: Does this mean we might see the ending of the Firebrand series? My father and I both are interested in the answer to that question...

Thanks for the well wishes, you guys! Launch Day went splendidly. I was very pleased with the excitement and the orders.
The technology was not a major issue. Thank You, Jesus! Several people reported the infinite loop/browser hang at the end of the process, but everyone's orders seem to have gone through just fine.
The prize drawing was a huge success as well. Because who doesn't like winning a prize! I was pleased to see that our own Christian Soldier won a prize, though he hasn't written to claim it yet.
Thanks for all the support you guys have offered during this last year and in the buildup to the launch. I appreciate you so much.
Please pray that sales will rise throughout the Christmas shopping season and beyond. As you might imagine, activity on the site was very high on the first day, but it has dramatically dropped off since then. We need a continued stream.
KnightofHyn, I don't have any immediate problems to continue the Operation: Firebrand series. Lots of ideas, but no plans just now. And if I did I probably wouldn't release them through MLP, which is focused on speculative fiction.
However, if MLP does very well, I have a fond dream of launching a similar press that would specialize in Christian military fiction, men's fiction, and other types of Christian fiction (besides speculative) that currently find no welcome in CBA.
And there's always the chance that some publisher might come calling, asking me for more Firebrand books.
Thanks again, everyone!
Jeff

Since you mention publishers, Jeff, do you have, or could you point me to a list of people that you suggest I run my MS by when I think it's ready? It's present or near future, subtly Christian, military fiction. But I hope it'll be more gritty and realistic than most Christian fiction, and have less of a romantic element. What agents, editors, publishers and others are most amenable to looking at such work?

It may surprise some people, but now that October 1st has come and gone, I'm not so sure I have a positive impression of Marcher Lord Press.
I waited and waited for my books to arrive, and this afternoon, when I stopped by my mailbox, there they were. I brought them inside, took off the cardboard wrapping. They were in mint condition. No problems there. The covers were great. (The cover of the Summa Elvetica was positively voluptuous. I wanted to dive into it and swim around in the color. Fantastic!) So what's my complaint?
It's the content. It's the content, guys.
I decide to delay gratification. I leave the books on the kitchen table and go upstairs to take a shower. When I come back down, I find my family has hijacked, HIJACKED, my books!!!!!
"Hey, this is a good book," one offspring says to me. "And I'm only on page 20."
Are you nuts? Do you realize it is going to be another week before I get to read my books? What kind of deal is this?
It won't do, Jeff. It just won't do.
