It's all part of a secret plot to ensure that every family must buy at least the same number of books as actual members of the family. Though even that won't protect people who have frequent visitors!

It's your own fault for not taking the books into the shower with you. No sympathy from me. Nope. No way.

You guys are a hoot. Teskas, you scared me there at first. But you're forgiven!
People are receiving their books at last and so far I've heard of only two printing/shipping problems.
One poor guy ordered Hero, Second Class and The Personifid Invasion but instead received Hero, Second Class and something called The Truth: Peotry Through a Black Woman's Eyes. I told him he should broaden his cultural horizons...
Another customer received her copy of Hero, Second Class but the printing on the cover was way off. The technical guidelines and measurement specs from the cover sheet (things that are never supposed to be visible on the book) were included right on the cover. The alignment was badly off. The interior was misaligned as well.
So far people have been good-natured about it. The woman who got the mis-printed cover said she's going to keep it as a rare collector's edition. LOL.
Everyone else seems to be getting perfectly printed and correctly shipped books. I'm gratified to hear it.

Oh, I should add that I've gotten all three, in perfect condition, and I'm suffering from sensory overload! It doesn't help that I got Havah: The Story of Eve just the week before!
The books are delightful. I can't wait to blast through them all and give them each a review.

I can't wait to read those reviews. I don't want anyone to take offense at the fact that I haven't ordered anything yet, but I'm very selective about what I read, having been disappointed so often. I'll read Ted Dekker until there's no more Dekker to read, or I see a review that convinces me that something else is really good. These books may well fit that definition, and the fact that Jeff chose them to publish gives them significant points. But I need to know what they're about, what their strong and weak points are, what type of audience they were written to, etc. So I will eagerly await the reviews, and then choose what to buy.

I decide to delay gratification. I leave the books on the kitchen table and go upstairs to take a shower. When I come back down, I find my family has hijacked, HIJACKED, my books!!!!! My 14-year-old tried the very same thing, right after I loudly proclaimed it HANDS OFF, but I launched a Moussad-style counter-attack and rescued my book from the hands of the hijacker. It is now hidden in a secret place under lock and key. Call me petty, but when I've been waiting and I paid for it, then *I* better get to break that spine, baby. Besides, he's got a Donita Paul and a Bryan Davis he hasn't read yet. Not like I'm committing literary negligence. Kids these days.

I was out of state when my books arrived. When my daughter went to get the mail, she found the box from MLP crammed into the mailbox, which is smaller than the circumference of the box! The box was so tight she couldn't pull it out. She had to squeeze her arm in along the side of the box and get her hand behind it to push it out.
Thankfully, the books were in perfect condition. Not so for the box.
Can't wait to get started!

We had a strong release day for the second list of Marcher Lord Press novels. I'm very pleased with these books. Very excited.
Everyone, be sure to get your copies before April 7 so you can receive the free PDF versions of the books you order!
Thanks for everyone who supports MLP through prayer, encouragement, and purchasing.

I wasn't able to order yet since all my money had to go toward bills and stuff. Don't know exactly when I'll be able to order the new season of novels, but if I can't by the beginning of May, I'll do so then. I'm really looking forward to these.

Its 3:30 am right now and I just finished 'The Dark Man'.
Its story takes place in a post-Christian USA where an agency man and master of disguises, Charles Graves, takes on a case to bring down the last Christian cell operating in a future Houston, Texas. Throughout his journey Charles battles with demons from his past which the author brings to life in vivid dream sequences, some very bizarre.
There are car chases, stake outs, jail breaks, military weaponry, terrorist; all the trappings of a good techno thriller to keep the action fan happy, while at the same time the book also stays true to an accurate depiction of the Gospel and Christian life.
I have to admit that 3/4 into the book, I thought the plot was becoming pretty predictable and I found myself just going through the motions of the action. I was expecting a logical conclusion to the unfolding events and the book to end on an almost anticlimactic note.
How wrong I was.
The end of this book shifted it from a C to and an A in my mind. I won’t spoil the ending, but all I can say is that it puts the rest of the book into perspective. You realize the plot of the book is not the actual story, but the story is something far more personal and moving.
Overall a 4 out of 5.
