I figured I'd start a random blog so you can keep up with my mutating wierdness. On writing: -I've finally decided to combine Onyx's and December book into one, with some interesting results to be expected. On Life: -I've discovered that I really hate humanity. I shouldn't, it's being a bad Christian, but alas, the harder I try to love people, the more disgusted I get. I've finally decided to become a book writing, horse writing-hermit on a 500-acre farm in Montana. On Horses: -They are always there for a good cry, and there always there to throw you off when you're getting too confident in your riding ability. And no matter how much time you spend grooming, the roll in the first mud pit they lay eyes on. That's me.

Nice! When I retire from the Army, in entirely too many years, my wife and I are thinking of retiring to some place no one has ever heard of with lots of land and getting cattle of some kind. I wouldn't mind getting big cats... but my luck would have me eaten by one when I forget to clean the extra large litter pan one day.

Update: I was involved in an almost-theft at work the other day-- well, I WASN'T! The guy who came through my line was going to steal something and then the managers stopped him. The police came out and I was shaking for an hour because I was afraid the guy was going to try something.
Fun times. Yep. Fun times.

Montana eh? I grew up in Bozeman and seem to be related to half the state. Which part is your ranch located?

My gramma was born in Bozeman. My granpa was born in Moccasin. They didn't meet until they'd both moved to Portland, though. Tom and I met while we were both on active duty in Great Falls.
Small world.

Here's another installment, although I just realized: I haven't been writing much about anything lately. On Writing-Remember my earlier post? Yes. It has already changed. I was stopped in my tracks and I believe God is telling me to write December's book as it's own book. Currently, I started revising it...for the 10th time...and I've attained a word count of 36,5?? K words. And all those little random ideas and things that don't really make sense? Yes, they're being explained. I guess I can say working so much and being kept away from my writing has been a blessing because when I finally am able to return, it's all new again. On Life-Well life is going. The cows are leaving and that makes me very happy. The grass is greening, the sun is beginning to shine, the birds are beginning to nest, the....well, you get the idea. If I don't think too much, I love the world and everything in it. On Dogs-LOL, what can I say about puppies and obedience training? Nothing. Absolutely nothing, all I can do is smile when people say, "Aw! What a cute puppy!" and remember not to tell them that she's my problem child. Oh dogs. And Labs at that. A bit of wierdness-I'm still working at reading my Bible regularly. *Meanwhile, back at the farm*

Ha ha, liked your post on dogs. We just recently adopted a vizsla and I tell people it took raising 4 toddlers to prepare me for a puppy! But we love her so much that she's worth the work

It's very true. I keep telling everyone she's as bad as a toddler. Currently, she's laying at my feet, chewing on a toy under the desk.

Vizslas are... interesting. We have a Springer Spaniel. Having ADD, I entirely understand that dog's point of view, but goodness does our yard have a lot of holes! As for dogs in general... well, we're the weird dog and cat people for our area: 4 dogs and three cats. And people offer us more! I tell them they're crazier than I am... and you know how bad that is.

When they try my patience, I sometimes tell my ridgeback boys I'll turn them into vizslas with the tree loppers. They just laugh at me. The youngest brother has six thoughts in a lot of happy space; my threat of tail-docking has never stopped him from high-speed trash-diving or counter-surfing.

I've found that threats mean little to the canine mind.

I'm going on May the 26th to call to a college advisor. I'll be looking into an Associate's in Paramedic degree, hopefully for the Spring, or if they could get me in for the fall, that would be lovely.
And I'm taking the ACT on the 16th of June.

What classes are you looking to take? And are you decided on a major?
