Hey, Dave.
I've been truant from the Sandbox (though I haven't forgotten all the excellent help I received there!!! I owe you all!!!) but it sounds like you've got a grand idea.
I'll be, however, truant from everything for the next several days. The HACWN conference is this week. Last night, I received three manuscripts to go over for a 20 minute face-to-face crit with the authors at the conference. Yikes! Nothing like getting stuff this involved at the 11th hour.
After the conference, it's back to writing, art, and working on anthology edits/formatting -- TC2's anthology is moving forward! (Plus whatever assignments I get from PYP) ;D

I'm at 12,518 words so far, averaging 1,800ish words per day. That's awesome! Keep it up! Be an inspiration to us slackers this slacker!

Yeah, I've been under the weather with laryngitis, so I haven't been wanting to stay up and write. Hoping to remedy that here in the next few days.

So far I've been able to keep up with the minimum requirement each day to finish online. Only today I had some disappointing news, and it's really hard to write. I need another 1,000 words before bedtime.

Did I say online? I meant on time. yoda47, you have serious rep! Keep trying, everybody. The journeying is as important as the arriving with this one.

5356 words so far. Am well on my way to finishing 'God's Gift' - which I already have a publisher request to be the first to see it.
My writing schedule is stuffed until probably the end of summer. Gulp! But am excited by the doors God has been opening.

Wrapped up my short story tonight at 4200 words, give or take. Now that's out of the way, I'm going to start prewriting for my next biggun'. Woohoo!
No love story in this one, though. Le sigh. Just the weird relationship of the grumpy dragon who semi-adopts a flighty little kitsune.

2079 words for today for a total of 7435. Not bad considering I had a bad start the first week. Chapter 22 of 'God's Gift' is done and the next one partially plotted out. Starts with one group of characters up a tree - literally.

Awesome. I'm still straggling at 6,162 words. Here's hoping I'll get another k or so done before dinner.

Go Team Anomaly!!!!Re: our mutual support thread for Anomalous Writing activities; I'm leaning toward calling it "Anomalous Writing Activites Support Group" (AWAS Group). After I rough out some basic concepts I'll launch it as another thread under this heading "The Otherworld Workshop" and see what develops. It probably won't get too much play until NNWM 2011 wraps up, but maybe it'll turn out to be a tool to help the NNWM winners to keep the momentum going after Dec 1st. (and the rest of us to get up to speed) Write on Beloved Sibs. SGD dave

Procrastination? Moi? But I REALLY needed to clean my refrigerator today. (Remember, when you're really stuck, write your hero taking a nap and give him a wild dream. Then you can come up with off the wall snippets and run up the word count. Plus, if you're really lucky, the dream can have some sort of significance to move the story along. Otherwise, you can always send him to the circus as recommended by the NaNoWriMo lady.)

Hmm, circus would be hard for a 17th century merc to go see, unless he finds a wandering troupe of players or a prize fight, bearbait, or cockfight.

Dave: Sounds awesome! Accountability is always nice. So far, I'm about 19K into my goal of 40K. I started out the month with 13K, though, so that's not really as impressive as it looks. I guess I'm a Rebel, too.
