Different Dragons - Pre Call

Did not make my deadline of CoSine, had a personal crisis in there, but currently have only 5 stories left to read.

Have still only accepted two stories, one of the writers was told in person at CoSine, while others are aware they're on the short list. Have a pretty good idea how the first volume will be laid out but am waiting until I get all of them read before any thing more official comes out.

I will be contacting authors before long.

Currently deciding which stories will be in Different Dragons Vol 1. Am awaiting some info from the publisher before official acceptances go out. After that, I will decide if I got enough good ones for a vol 2. If so, then it will be go - not to mention who I have on the invite list.

Have decided who will be in Vol 1. I will do NO official announcements until acceptances, contracts & edits are sent out. I did reject four stories and those have been sent. If you get neither a rejection nor a acceptance, that means you're still being considered for Vol 2. Please, do not email me for a status update. Thanks!

I have six more edits and contracts to send out. Once I get everything back in, I will do some official announcements about who was accepted. I'm still debating on my lead story since I have two very good ones to chose from and both authors are known.

Four stories left to edit. Am fighting the flu so I've been slowed down. However, all authors accepted have been sent a general email. All secondary choices for Vol 2 have also been emailed. I only rejected 4 total. I also have an impressive list of invites as well, including some well knowns.

Just sent out updates on both the Sandbox and Lost Genre Guild, listing who got accepted for Vol 1.

Vol 2 will start after I recover from the flu. Also, if anyone wants to be on the invite list for Vol 2, and I have the feeling I will be reaching out, let me know ASAP and I'll get your name on the list.

However, be warned, I am NOT accepting any more High, traditional or Urban Fantasy. I'm looking for Weird Westerns, horror, Science Fiction, Paranormal, romance, mystery, Steampunk or any other genre.

Vol 1 is done. Have problem with one story and am waiting to hear back from the author. As soon as I do I will be sending it on to the publisher.

Now awaiting deadline for Vol 2. If you're on the invite list, and you know who you are, please see my earlier post about what I'm looking for. I have more than enough Fantasy pieces.
